Come meet authors Abby Geni and Ben Nadler as they discuss their acclaimed new novels.  Geni will read from her provocative debut thriller The Lightkeepers which Publishers Weekly called "a haunting and immersive adventure" written with the "clear, calm confidence of a master storyteller."  Nadler will share his new novel The Sea Beach Line - a hypnotic hybrid of pulp fiction and Jewish folklore described as "a mesmerizing narrative" in Library Journal's starred review.  Copies of both books will be available for purchase. 

This reading will be held at Bookends & Beginnings, 1712 Sherman Ave, Evanston. 

Abby Geni is a graduate of the Iowa Writers Workshop as well as a recipient of an Iowa Fellowship.  Her debut story collection The Last Animal was a finalist for the 2014 Orion Book Award, and her work won first place in the Glimmer Train Fiction Open and was listed in The Best American Stories 2010.  She lives in Evanston.

Ben Nadler teaches creative writing at the City College of New York as well as other colleges in Manhattan and the Bronx.  He is also the author of the novel Harvitz, As to War, the chapbook Punk in NYC's Lower East Side, 1981-1991, and the poetry and comic collaboration Line & Hook with artist Alyssa Berg.  He lives in Brooklyn.
