Not sure how to fill out the FAFSA form to apply for financial aid for college? Then this is the program for you! Representatives from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be walking attendees through the FAFSA paper and online applications step by step. ISAC mentors will help you navigate the form and get your FAFSA ready for submission. In order to fill out your FAFSA you need to bring a few things: *Student’s Social Security Number (or alien registration number) *Student’s Driver’s License (if any) *Student and parent(s) 2011 or 2012 taxes and W2 forms *Child support paid or received, or any other untaxed income *Student and parent current balances of cash, savings and checking *Student and parents asset information (Stocks, bonds, 529 savings plans and all other investment information) *Parents birthday, date of marriage/separation/divorce *Be prepared to create a 4 digit PIN to act as your electronic signature Bilingual assistance will be available at this program. If you don’t get all of your questions answered at this program you will be able to sign up for one on one sessions at the Library with a ISAC mentor on January 11 or 19.
